City Sin

How society has changed over the years, you can live in a street now and not know any of your neighbors. There used to be a time when you could walk down your street and stop and chat with most of the people that lived in it, you knew them. There was even street parties, mind you we used to have summers then as well.

I guess that is the message in this next collection of words, we have lost the old neighborhoods and we tend to live some what isolated in our own streets compared to years ago.

City city sin sin
That is where I’ve been
Looking for a new tune
Can’t find my home
This road is far to long

How do you
How do you do
Looking for your friendship
Looking for my life
Don’t tell me not to try

City city sin sin
Left that place behind
Walking through a new door
Leave it just ajar
You close it like before
Don’t want this no more

It’s gone, the song
No one plays it anymore
To much honesty for sure
I can’t hear it playing
Anymore, anymore
I can’t hear it playing anymore.

City city sin sin
I stop and you stare
Where are all the old folk
Crushing mind of state
What about your stake
Far to much without this place

How do you
How do you do
Walk away and run from this
If you have to stay
Then disregard your mate
Never heard them save my life

City city sin sin
With you or without me
The face is always mean
Nothing wrong with this town
Trying not to see
Forever in my dreams

The song has gone
No one plays it anymore
To much hurt and to much pain
I can’t hear it playing
Anymore, anymore
I can’t hear it playing anymore
