David Bowie

What can I say about David Bowie, what can anyone say he is a legend. I don’t believe there has ever been or ever will be any singer song writer that can match Bowie. You probably have at this point realised that I like this superstar.

Well I do, infact he is my all time favorite artist, no one else even comes close.

He has influenced more artists than any other, with his ever changing style and creativity. On stage he oozes charisma with a voice that has no boundaries. The amount of material he has produced over the years is amazing. There has always been an element of suprise to his music as well as his image, forever reinventing himself. Something Madonna has tried amongst others but without the same level of success.

He was said to have different colour eyes, but as a result of a fight at the age of 15 his pupil remains permannently dilated giving the appearance of being dark as opposed to his other blue one.

Apart form being a great singer songwriter, Bowie is also an actor and producer. He first got noticed in 1969 with his single Space Oddity, although he had previously released several songs and an album. He then achieved major success in the early 70′s with Ziggy Stardust who became an icon in his own right, until Bowie killed him off a few years later.

By the mid 70′s Bowie was Conquering the US with his hit album Young Americans, sealing the death of Ziggy. The 80′s was good to Bowie as well with the albums Scary Monsters and Lets Dance both being hits. He has experimented with sound and look throughout his career and you never know if he will do it again, we can only hope!

Well I could go on but I don’t want to make this the longest post in history. It’s hard to choose favorites there are so many, but I have included a few songs. One had to be Ziggy Stardust with pictures of him over the years and the other is a live performance with Billy Corgan, All the Young Dudes and Jene Genie. so click those play buttons below, turn up the volume and enjoy.
