Go Away
I don’t mean for you to go away, I like having you here. But it is the title of the next poem.
I wrote this one in January 2008. But the words and the meaning go back a lot further than that. It is just a simple little poem that has a very simple message and that message is in the title.
Go Away
It’s your heart
That remembers the worst
It’s your mind
That remembers the verse
Sing the words
Remember the tune
Feel the pain
Remember the Bruise
Can you move onwards
And sing a new song
When phone calls from the past
Hound you everyday
Let me say
Please go away
For I have to build a better past
Cause all you had was emptiness
I hoped would never last
Its time for me to get a happy past
So turn away
I’ll wave goodbye
There’s nothing left to say
Move on and find your way
I’ll get my own new day
Sing the song
Feel the beat
It won’t be long
We didn’t meet
I can’t remember who are you
I’m feeling better every day
All those things that did occur
Have gone from upon my face
Hear the song
Dance the beat
It won’t be long
before you forget me
So that was Go Away, I hope you liked it and got the message within it. There are things that anyone may write about, that have a specific meaning for them, but for the reader it may interpret as a different meaning. This is great because it gives freedom to anyone that writes and freedom to the reader to get what they want from any song or poem.
I will leave you with that thought and Go prepare another poem, see you in the next post.
