Guns N Roses

A truly amazing band that are really missed, by me anyway. I know that Axle is still going under GNR and I have got the album Chinese Democracy, but although it is a good album..

It hasn’t got the same magic as the old Guns N Roses, I am just so sad that I didn’t get to see them live. An awesome band that had a great combination of brilliant lyrics and fantastic tunes to back them up.

The guitar style of Slash is amazing and the unbelievable voice of Axle it was no wonder that they produced such brilliant songs. I loved all of their albums and I can say that I don’t think that I dislke any songs that are on those albums. Some of my favorites are Sweet Child of Mine, November Rain, You Could Be Mine, Welcome To The Jungle, Yesterday, 14 Years but my absolute favorite is Estranged.

Estranged is just such an amazing song and one of GNR’s longest, but it is such a simple yet complex song. Slash on the guitar is amazing, it just sings along with Axle and the lyrics are outstanding. My favorite being :

True Genius. I love this song so much that here is a Video.

Live and Let Die and Knockin on Heavens Door, I’m sorry but Guns N Roses versions were better than the originals.

It is such a shame that they split, it makes you wonder what other masterpieces they would have come up with were they still together.

May be one day they might, fingers crossed!
