Moments In Our Dreams
Give up your mind and listen
Those precious little moments
That take us by surprise
Look far into your mind
The sun shines high above our skies
And warmth rides on the breeze
There is colour in your cheeks
Can we ever live to much
Taking the time to tell
Talk to me with grace
Hear those softly spoken words
Like feathers on your mind
They are the kindest I have heard
Just little moments of time
A smile can light the sky at night
It can lift a heavy weight
There are diamonds in your eyes
That sparkle with your voice
I see angels around your face
Soothing with love not hate
Like the sea is deep
And the lakes so calm
Your thoughts dance upon my mind
They make me know what love is
But can destroy all mankind
A time to feel your charm
Is when you pass on to me
Can this really be a dream
A thousand birds high in the sky
Carry chatter from the heavens
Do we ever want to listen
All that is within our minds
Yet we choose to hear the rest
Moving farther from our bliss
Understand your thoughts and mind
Live them and be kind
There is beauty there in everything
There is life in all that you see
But the unseen things that hide from us
Are the best that we can believe
The story is within our self
Just moments in our dreams
