Skies-Falling In
A short utterance of my mind is a way to describe a putting together of words that travelled through my thoughts and ended up on paper. In short, another poem for you to read. This is another piece from 2006 written in October.
Skies Falling In
Our Skies falling in
We’re crying out for help
Our world is caving in and
We are dying out of hurt
Give us a direction and
A place that we can stay
Some love and affection
Away from this hate called today
Please won’t you help us
Walking down our streets
Nothing looks familiar
The blackout is complete
The skies falling in
Nothing left to see
We’re dying out of hurt
That’s one thing you’ve achieved
One day you won’t see
The fate you sealed for me
When you signed our paper skin
And made the bed we are rotting in
Our skies are falling in
We quietly fade away
You can’t hear our cries for help
There’s no one left to save and
No one left to tell, Sold out
Now that’s a chirpy little one, or may be not. But it is a reflection of how the world we live in today seems to pull in different directions ( only in my opinion of course). The governments never seem to actually do what their people want them to do, which means we never really get heard, our opinions get washed over. Technology moves on like a high speed train, yet our values seem to be going backwards. I am not a big voice for global warming and have not seen any real proof that it is happening, Skies Falling In, is not about that subject. It is about you and me and how we treat each other, I think the way that some human beings behave towards others could ultimately be the demise of this planet long before global warming has the chance to do so.
