That Ain’t Right
What comes first the music or the words, I guess it depends on who is doing the composing or the writing. Some lyricists may prefer to write to fit their words to the music or may prefer to write first and then put the tune to fit the words.
My preference would be to write lyrics to music, but as I am no composer and can’t play an instrument I have to write in silence. I do wonder though how my lyrics would fit in with music, I guess it would bring them alive for me. I also wonder what kind of music would fit which lyrics. So I reckon it just ain’t right that my words have no music to awaken them, any way here is another set of lyrics.
That Ain’t Right
I sing my life
Without a song
That ain’t right
Just ain’t right
I turn my head
without a fight
That ain’t right
Walk away
Without a sound
Just ain’t right
Can you believe in me
The way I do in you
And can you tell me true
Just what I have to do
Can you humour me
It’s just what I have to be
It ain’t right
I cry myself to sleep
Without a pillow
The void is so deep
It ain’t right
It just ain’t right
Can you fight for me
Or will I be
Another type of depression
Just frustration
I got no patients and
That ain’t right
Taken over by aggression
It ain’t right
I need a lesson in correction
Felt myself reeling
it ain’t right
Got no feeling
That ain’t right
I think it’s time
For me to end the day
That could be right
I think it’s right
Took to many sweets I am getting sleepy
Fading away from this very long day
The candy has touch me
Must be time to play
