The Lady Is GaGa
What a great talent this young lady is, she has taken the world by storm and there is an air of excitment with the anticipation of what she will produce next in her electronic dance sound. I for one love the lyrics, the voice and the presence of Lady Gaga.
Born in 1986 her real name being Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta she first worked as a songwriter and then recognised vocally by Akon was signed to his label. Her debut album The Fame was released in August 2008 and reached number one in many countries. Her second album The Fame Monster was released just over a year later in 2009 with similar success.
Lady Gaga is said to be inspired by Glam Rock and artists such as David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, which comes across in not only her music but her performances as well as her look. She taught herself piano at the young age of 4 and is said to have written her first piano ballad at the age of 13, going on to her first performance at the age of 14.
Her stage name Lady Gaga came about by way of a text accident, the Gaga came from Queens tune radio Ga Ga and she recieved a text from a producer she was working with Rob Fusari that was meant to say radio gaga, but the radio got pridictively changed to lady and Stefani knew that was the name she had been looking for and so Lady GaGa was born.
She first backed the likes of New Kids On The Block and The Pussycat Dolls before embarking on her own tagged The Fame Ball Tour. A few of her hits are Just Dance and Poker Face from her first album and Bad Romance from her second album, she has sold Millions of albums and singles throughout the world and I don’t think she will be going any where just yet, I hope not anyway.
